The Acai fruit is known to have many health benefits to its user. Because of this, the number of people using them has been continually increasing over the years. However, there are malicious people who will take advantage of this fact. Such as those claiming to be Acai providers but is just actually planning to charge their customers with overly expensive products that they do not want.
Recently, there was a case like this. The Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. claims to give a low cost Acai food supplements to consumers online. However, as consumer makes a purchase of the low cost supplement, the company also adds in other products and services without the consent of the consumer. This allows the company to charge its customers with overly high fees for the additional products and services. As a result, hundreds of complaints were filed against the company. It now faces a $ 1,375,000 fine for settlement.
However, keep in mind that Acai is not to blame here. Acai products indeed have some health wonders and many testify to that. The one who is at fault is the people who are devising ways to use such convenient product for malicious purposes.
